1. Information We Collect

We collect three categories of information:

• Information you give us. This includes the answers to our quiz — for example, your first name, email, ZIP code, age, vehicle count, driving history, credit-score range, and whether you currently have insurance. You provide this voluntarily when you complete the assessment.
• Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect information such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details.
• Information from third parties. Our marketing partners and ad networks may share aggregated or hashed identifiers with us so we can understand how people find FinanceRazor and measure campaign performance. We do not buy your sensitive personal data from anyone.

2. How We Use Information

• To display insurance offers matched to your profile.
• To contact you about offers, follow-ups, and customer-service matters — by email, phone, or SMS, subject to your consent and applicable law.
• To operate, maintain, and improve the Site and our matching algorithms.
• To measure the performance of our advertising and partner campaigns.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and other harmful or illegal activity.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

3. How We Share Information

We share information in the following circumstances:

• With insurance carriers and licensed agents. When you click an offer or otherwise indicate interest, we transmit the relevant portion of your quiz answers and contact details to the carrier or agent so they can give you a real quote. That carrier then becomes a separate data controller — their privacy policy will govern their handling of your data.
• With our marketing and lead-management partners. These include ad-server platforms (e.g., MediaAlpha, Jornaya, TrustedForm), call-routing platforms, and CRM providers we use to deliver the service.
• With our service providers. Hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processors that perform functions on our behalf, under written contracts that restrict their use of your information.
• For legal reasons. If required by law, valid legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
• In a business transaction. If FinanceRazor is acquired, merged, or sells assets, your information may be transferred to the acquirer subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your data to spammers or to anyone unrelated to your insurance-shopping request.

4. Your Choices

• Opt out of marketing emails: click "unsubscribe" in any email, or email unsubscribe@financerazor.com.
• Opt out of SMS: reply STOP to any message.
• Opt out of calls: tell the calling agent to place you on their internal do-not-call list, or email privacy@financerazor.com.
• Cookies: manage cookies in your browser settings — see our Cookie Policy.
• Right to access, correct, or delete: contact us at the address below and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

5. State-Specific Rights

If you reside in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, or other states with comprehensive privacy laws, you have specific rights — including the right to know what information we hold about you, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, and the right to opt out of certain sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, email privacy@financerazor.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request" and tell us which state you live in.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit and access controls on stored data. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

FinanceRazor is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please email privacy@financerazor.com and we will promptly delete it.

8. Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we will delete or anonymize it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Effective date" at the top and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
